Visual Field Attention This program allows the user to examine visual neglect and sustained attention to visual stimuli. This program presents simple visual stimuli in random locations within the visual fields. The subject then presses the mouse button when a stimulus appears. The program records error rates and response times. The output includes average response times for each quadrant of the visual fields and the central and peripheral parts of the fields. The program also computes minimum and maximum response times for each quadrant. Finally, the program produces a visually interesting plot of response times for each part of the fields in which a stimulus appeared. The program is useful for the clinical examination of visual neglect, as a class presentation tool and as a research instrument. You can specify where you want the stimuli to appear or let the program generate random locations. Computer mediation of the procedure and response time analysis allows for a much more sensitive measurement of visual neglect than any analog method in current clinical use. Price: $99
